OMAR MARTINEZ

Omar Martínez is a Puerto Rican professional trumpet player, arranger, composer, and music director whose career spans international touring, live productions, studio recording, music direction, and education.

With more than two decades of professional experience, Omar has performed and toured internationally with some of the most recognized artists and entertainment productions in the world.

He is currently a trumpet player with Luis Miguel and has performed as part of Ricardo Arjona's international touring ensemble. His international performance career also includes Cirque du Soleil, where he performed with LUZIAand later served as Band Leader and trumpet player for JOYÀ, the company's resident production in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Omar is also a Yamaha USA Trumpet Artist.

Experience

As an arranger and recording musician, Omar has contributed to studio and live productions across a wide range of musical styles. His credits include work with artists such as Ricardo Montaner, Thalía, Camila Cabello, Drake, Jennifer Lopez, Frankie Valli, The Temptations, Israel Houghton, Marcos Witt, Danilo Montero, and others.

He has also participated as a trumpet player and arranger on Grammy-winning productions, including projects associated with Israel Houghton, Marcos Witt, and Danilo Montero.

Before establishing himself as an international touring musician, Omar spent 12 years at Lakewood Church in Houston, where he worked as a trumpet player and horn and strings arranger while also performing, recording, and developing his career as a freelance musician.
